The North Central District Health Department has redesigned and streamlined its mission and vision to incorporate a more population-based healthcare approach that better fits the direction of Kentucky’s Public Health Transformation model.
Mission
The district’s mission – Provide innovative, diverse and inclusive population-based public health as a leader through education, disease prevention, regulation adherence and communicable disease control – defines its purpose as it moves forward. It describes NCDHD’s fundamental purpose and will help shape every decision we make as we strive to meet our vision – Optimal health for the communities of the North Central District – Henry, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties.
