The Building Division is a new program to facilitate the safe and structurally sound erection of structures in Trimble County. Our primary purpose is to enforce the minimum code standards to safeguard the public health, safety and general welfare through structural strength, means of egress (exits), stability, sanitation, approved wiring and electrical practices, adequate lighting and ventilation, energy conservation and safety to life and property from fire and other hazards to the built environment.
The permitting process and subsequent inspections are intended to discover substandard work, faulty materials, deviations from the submitted documents or violations of codes or standards which could result in unsafe conditions, affect the longevity of the building, harm the public welfare or cause excessive use of our natural resources.
The Trimble County Building Division will provide an exceptional service to the community through enforcement of nationally and locally adopted standards and codes related to the construction and electrical fields.
